But through ACM's partner ministries, hundreds of these children are being fed — body and soul — every single week.
More Than a Meal
The feeding program run by Advancing the Kingdom Ministries in the Manila landfill area isn't just about food. Each gathering includes a time of worship, Bible teaching, and prayer. For many of these children, it's the only time during the week they hear that they are loved — by their community and by God.
Volunteers prepare rice, vegetables, and protein — simple meals that make a profound difference. Children who were once too hungry to focus in school are now attending regularly. Parents who were skeptical are now asking questions about the faith that drives these volunteers to show up week after week.
The Numbers Tell a Story
Each week, the program serves between 200 and 300 children. That's over 1,000 meals a month from just one location. And the impact ripples outward — families are being reached, relationships are being built, and the gospel is being shared in a place where hope can feel impossible to find.
JOBS Church: Expanding the Reach
Jesus Our Blessed Savior (JOBS) Church has also been running a strong feeding program that reaches hundreds of additional children across the Manila area. Their work extends beyond feeding into church planting, leadership training, and even international mission efforts in Thailand and Cambodia.
What started as a simple act of compassion — feeding hungry children — has grown into a movement of transformation. Churches are being planted. Leaders are being trained. And communities that once felt forgotten are discovering that God has not forgotten them.
